As some of you may have noticed from the color key, there are now 8 houses of Hogwarts. Why? You may wish to know. Well, during the age of Harry Potter's children, there was a war between wizards and creatures. When the war ended, a treaty was made. Creatures are now allowed to work in the Wizarding world and attend school like Hogwarts. To keep discrimination within the houses at a minimal level, creatures were given four new houses. These houses are equivalent to the pre-existing houses of Hogwarts with new names. Haven = Gryffindor. Fayding = Ravenclaw. Piddly = Hufflepuff. Davan = Slytherin. The different is, only creatures may be sorted into these houses.
These four new houses participate in all school activities like the other students, they simply work to accommodate creatures in a more suiting fashion. Beds have been sized down for goblins and house elves. Vampires are given a space in the common room of their own since they don't need a bed to sleep in. Werewolves are given an exceptional time out of classes due to their furry needs. As you can see, many new rules have been made to fit to these new students. Hogwarts has adapted and the current students are used to have creatures roaming about.
