&& welcome home...
He brushed his messy bronze hair out of his eyes as the rain poured down on him. He stood outside The Leaky Cauldron in a long black cloak and watched as the muggles around him avoided him like the plague itself. He would have avoided him had he been in their position also. He must look very frightening after such a trip. Hayden had been attacked twice by Death Eaters in his arrival home alone. He'd not yet had the chance to see his wife, sister, or brother-in-law yet. This reunion was to be a quiet sort of event. The type of moment that brought what was left of a family together to join the numbers of their past once more. Would anyone in this generation know them, remember them? Had they heard of them? Surely Frank and Alice had many roots to catch up on now that they'd get to see what really happened to their son. Hayden and Serenity however, had gone into hiding before anyone could learn of their breed, let alone their names and histories. It would all be a mystery now.
Luckily, they were coming into a changing time. They were entering a society different than the one they'd left behind. Now, they were welcome to work, to learn, to be part of things as they were. They did not need to hide who they were. There was no need to be ashamed of their insanely scattered lives. Hayden could help build a future for his family that would not be discriminated against. They were in a time of revolution and Hayden felt that familiar pang of anger towards his other sister for betraying their family and taking the side of darkness. Rosalie always did have a liking for power. It was not much surprise when she joined the numbers of the new dark leader.
He opened the door to the quiet pub. It was past ten at night and only a few people remained wandering about with their cups of butterbeer and firewhiskey. Hayden walked to the counter, ordered a mug of tea, and then took a seat in a booth where he could meet up with family once more. Their journey home would be a key point in their conversation. They already had lives to begin the next morning. Hayden, Serenity, and Frank would all go to work in the Ministry as aurors whilst Alice had been accepted as the new head of the Department of Mysteries. All four of them would be joining the newly restored Order of the Phoenix. Frank and Alice had originally been members of the first Order so, this was very big for them. Hayden himself remember the Potter's relatives so, it would be exciting to see how everything turned out. It seemed as though Alice and Serenity would enjoy the Order the most though. They had been best friends of Lily Evans back in their school days. Now, they would be given the chance to meet Lily's relatives.
It was all so long ago, the time of the Potter family. Hayden had remember seeing their son before departure, Harry. The boy was a mere infant and yet, Hayden could read great things in his mind. Perhaps not miraculous things, but the way it ticked was abstract enough, compassion filled from birth. Hayden had been right. Now, it was time to read the minds of Harry Potter's grandchildren. What else would be in store for them all?

Serenity had just walked in the pub and closed the door behind her. There she stood shivering from the cold rain and suddenly eased from the warmth of the place as she scanned the room for any sign of the familiar and needed people. Her happy looking eyes turned to wide, frightened ones and dashed to where her beloved husband was at and sat on the stool beside him. "What happened?! You're hurt... oh I just knew something like this was going to happen. Let's just hope the rest will be safe." Serenity hugged him and let go as soon as she remembered she was soaking wet.
A slight smile was on her face. Even if it was important business she was still so excited to see the rest of the family, both Hayden and Serenity hadn't seen them for so long. The only part of the family who wasn't in this was Rosalie and Christopher, if they could even call them part of the family. It was tragic for her, she trusted them, and they had lost her trust. But she still couldn't say that Serenity wasn't at least a little suspicious of them, she had never taken a like for Slytherins for as long as she remembered and that was a long time indeed.
Once she had been an auror was that part of that reason she would be fighting, is for one of her dearest friends, Lily Evans and she was sure Alice would have that part of the reason too. Her eyes watered as she remember all three of them fooling about. They were both heartbroken when they received the news of Lily and James being dead. It was sad to hear that as they lived on the dearest friends hadn't.

He knew, almost instantly, when Serenity walked into the room. Even though he could not read her mind, he felt her presence, that faint radiance that came with her. He saw that light in her that had lived on, even through the transformation to a vampire. Serenity was the love of Hayden's life and he had a long time to live so, it was just his luck. He kept a light smile on his face for her, warm, welcoming. He wanted her to feel at home in their old life once more. This was where their re-birth seemed to begin.
"I'm fine, really." He murmured softly in her ear as she hugged him. He hugged her in turn and tried to hide the few wounds he had received from the one other vampire who had attacked that night. Luckily, it was not Rose or Chris, that would have been both shameful and pathetic, although he was prepared for the moment. "Did you arrive safely? You're not harmed, are you? Do I need to go clean up a mess before our other guests arrive?" he asked seriously. Hayden knew that, should anyone dare attempt, lay hands on Serenity, they were dead, in a heartbeat. Ironic since vampires didn't have heartbeats.
He took a sip from his mug of tea, wondering if he'd need to leap out into the storm and track someone down at that hour? He wondered if Frank and Alice would make it there alive. A slight worry line creased his forehead as he thought and then he remembered himself. "Oh, sorry Dear. What would you like? Tea, coffee, butterbeer?" He asked, ready to go order for her. An old friend had once accused Hayden of being on Serenity's short leash. In truth, Hayden was a gentlemen. He still held doors open for his wife. He ordered her food and drinks. He was ever gracefully polite. He carried a handkerchief in his pocket out of habit more than anything. Now was yet another display of such a thing.

"Im glad you're ok then." Though she couldn't help the feeling of him being hurt, and now it was her turn to lie. Thank goodness he couldn't read her mind. "I arrived safely, honestly don't worry." In truth she had some difficulties getting to the pub, a vampire chased her on the way, but she managed, she was already used to all of it and knew what to do. She tapped her fingers on the table and kept her eyes on the door, she hoped Alice and Frank wouldn't go through the same type of situation.
She smiled at his offer of drinks, and thought about having some tea. "I think I will have some tea, thank you," After that long wet trip, she needed some warm and relaxing and to sooth her nerves. "Where are you guys," she whispered to herself, waiting for them to walk in through the door at any moment. She was very impatient nowadays, especially when it comes to very serious tasks. Just gets her stressed on it a lot.

&& we fade to silence as the rain drops fall...
Her little ballet flats seemed exceptional soggy as Alice gracefully danced through a puddle on the windy streets of London. Her short brown hair was a mess of spikes beneath her chic pale violet hat. It was style in a time long before her present, but that was always Alice's style, even before she was a vampire.She wore a matching pale violet pea coat with delicate white gloves. Beneath the coat, she wore a pair of jeans, a white blouse, a deep purple vest, and a white knit sweater. Ace loved style and this happened to be hers for the day.
She lay her gloved hand upon the massive door to the hidden Leaky Cauldron. Her smile was ever so gentle, the type of expression one wore to show that they were ready to face life without complaint, without any trouble. There was a softness to her face that wasn't always there. It was q quiet look. She'd been through a lot in the past twenty or so years. The spat of her life spent faking insanity was possibly the hardest and most boring. Now, she was being welcomed back into society with a warm round of applause and a perfect new job. How could the ministry not accept her and her family? Alice always knew the answers. No one ever bet against her. She made the ideal code-breaker and head of the department of mysteries. They trusted Alice, she had achieved the impossible alongside her husband. They had lied to most of the wizarding world and made everyone believe them insane for many many years. How could someone not be impresses?
She made her graceful little dance take her up to the counter to order a mug of tea. The warmth she knew she should need. None of them needed it. None of them drank tea. they drank animal blood. Under the weather conditions, Alice knew that they needed to charade along, pretending to get tea. Their cover wasn't to be tossed in the air at such a random time. Hayden was the bets at it. He drank human drinks now more regularly. During his years of travel, people were insulted if he did not. He'd grown so accustomed to acting the way a human had to. He still hid himself so well.
Alice took her mug and spotted them. Hayden was just standing to go order Serenity's drink. Alice knew he was getting her a mug of tea. She smiled, took Hayden's hand briefly in passing as a gesture of acknowledgment. "I trust you made it in all right? I saw that burly man chasing you and knew he'd made the wrong decision on a night like this..." Alice offered mysteriously. She smiled and then moved to greet Serenity.
"Hello Dear Sister." Alice smiled and slipped into the booth next to her sister-in-law. "How was your traveling? I trust there were not too many attacks." Alice offered lightly. Obviously Rosalie and Christopher had tipped off the other Death Eaters of their family's arrival. Alice fought off a scowl of embarrassment.
